Which darling, well-heeled blogger posted this on her Facebook page, “there’s Lacroix and then there’s Luella…tragic about Lacroix :( makes me happy for my Lacroix stash I have in the garage…but Luella imo is the fucking worst?”

i think both brands contribute to fashion, Lacroix more so probably, but obviously the money spending public (whether rich people or others saving each month to splurge on luxury goods) don’t consider either brand worth it. If people thought these brands were amazing, relevant to their lives and worth buying then they wouldn’t be in such financial trouble. Ultimately, both failed to get the money in. Investors don’t pull out of companies they think have growth potential and/or profit.

why does everyone act as though she has some commitment to political correctness and has a responsibility to be the most gracious and wonderful human being in the world just because she has a blog that’s become successful? i personally still admire her style but i never became as invested in her as a human as other people seem to have, just based on the outrage caused by a simple (and not that scandalous, imo) comment.

I agree with 10. While it's never nice to smirk at other's misfortune, I think it's nice to see a little testiness. Her blog use to bore the hell out of me because it was so indifferent. I'm happy she has an opinion. And after all, she is 16(?), she's allowed to kick up every now and then (I sure did).
