“Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.” —Kate Moss tells WWD.

Isn't this just a blatant rip-off of the well-known "Nothing tastes as good as thin feels" quote?
Or is that quote an interpretation of the Kate Moss quote?
Either way, I'd reply with "nothing LOOKS as good as a healthy mind FEELS," ie, being in uber-diet/deprivation mode in order to achieve "skinny" is soooooo not an ideal way to be...

I think #2 is right, Nothing tastes as good as thin feels. My friend's mom had this posted on their pantry door my entire childhood. It never kept anyone away from the cookies.

I'm going to hold myself back (for once) and be nice. Clever Kate! Real clever! And original might I add.

I'm glad that quote was taken out of context, because there are lots of yummy things I could think of that are nearly better than sex, much less being a size negative two. I prefer to eat and workout, rather than starve.
Happy Friday! xoxo

I'm not a fan of Kate but skinny does feel really good!
I accomplished my goal of losing 20 lbs. this year and I feel fucking great!
So while you're stuffing your face, I look smashing!

#17, if you haven't figured it out, 99% of my comments on here are unnecessary, just don't pay attention to them.

#20, because it draws out anonymous people like you to help the Stoli and Harry Winston ads, which I both support.

Etoilee8, don't hate because I was overweight and now I'm happy about my body image and I feel good. I only talk about weight when it's relevant to the post and because it's a national problem.

RR, it's nice that you lost weight, but it's tragic that you're still so ignorant about weight issues despite having gone through them. Not all fat people are that way because they "stuff" their faces. That is a tired and incorrect misconception (and what contributes to useless starvation diets) and it's just plain foolish and sad that you choose to perpetuate it.

#28,
The fact is...some people are not overweight from stuffing their faces...
BUT too many overweight people are that way from stuffing their faces.
I'm so tired of people defending it and so willing to accept any reason/excuse for such a tragically unhealthy lifestyle that keeps being passed down generations.
I don't think Kate's quotation is perfect. I don't think RR's statement is perfect.
But it sure is a hell of a lot better than hearing the increasing waistlines of the population.

Thank you #29, you said what I wanted to say. From now on, I will keep my opinions about my weight to myself.

I think if you were to ask most westerners about the turthfulness of that quote 98% of the population would agree. Even those who react to the quote and say they feel great or beautiful at their size really deep down know they feel better and look better with less weight on.
Lets face the facts everyone wants to look good and we in the west are facing a huge obesity problem due to our terrible diet and bad eating habits. And we can thank our marketing, restaurant and food industry for a lot of that. As well our inability to say no and cut back and use portion control.
But now go use this quote in say Somalia, Sudan, or any number of two thirds world countries and you will get a different response. Gee I wonder why that is.
