Taylor’s Leaving Rachel Zoe!!

brad-and-taylor.jpgOkay, Rachel must be dying, literally, right now.

Her loyal, often sullen, but always, always hard-working styling associate Taylor Jacobson is finally leaving Rachel Zoe Inc. We’ve kind of seen this coming for a while, but the season ender showed Taylor getting a new role (well, sort of) handling aspects of RZ’s growing merchandise business.

But we guess things didn’t get any better. In an email to contacts today, Taylor said: “After four amazing years at Rachel Zoe Corporation, I’m saddened and exhilarated at the same time to announce my departure. After much thought and consideration, I have decided to take the challenging leap to go off and style on my own.”

Who will make Brad and Rach stay focused now? Who will keep Rodg up to speed on Rachel’s vertigo issues? Who will handle all those returns? We hope there’s a season 3 so we can find out.

Whatever happens, we wish Taylor lots of luck in her solo styling career!

That is bananas. I'm "litrally" dying. Ugh. My vertigo just kicked in.

Wow!

I would like to say that I am surprised but I really think that this is a logic move of Taylor.

Wish her the best, she really deserves it!

XOXO

I think anyone who watched the show knew that Taylor was going to leave EVENTUALLY but I guess I didn't expect it so soon with how Season 2 ended.

Best of luck to her. She was always my favorite character on the show!!

So A-mazing. Like Taylor, I'm both "saddened and exhilarated" by her departure from the Zoe brand. Tay-Tay can be a bit of a bitter debbie downer, but she does have super cool style. I'm curious to see what she'll do now that she's branched out on her own.

I had always assumed that Taylor's exasperation was heightened for the purposes of the show. If she really had plans to leave RZ's company, Taylor perhaps should have considered how her consistently pessimistic attitude might affect future business. Maybe she's a good stylist (I didn't watch every episode so don't know), but her attitude wore on me. After a while it was just like, "Stop complaining about it and leave already! We get it -- you're frustrated." So I guess it's good she finally left, but I just wonder if her attitude as portrayed on the show will hinder her success at all.

As much as Taylor's attitude drove me nuts, I loved her style & she's incredibly talented. Rachel is gonna have to hire 3 experienced people to do what she did.

I'm glad someone else put literally in quotes :) I don't think Rachel has EVER used that word correctly! Too funny.

Her attitude...was rank. I'm sure it only got worse after filming ended...

Who's that in the picture with Brad? Can't be Taylor - she's not wearing sunglasses, and she's.....smiling.

Yeah, but rachel's last assistant who left to be on her own has like, half a client.

I just saw the series online and I think it's about time, she seems very hard-working and she said she wanted to do commercials and other stuff, so go for it.

So who's going to be the new surly bitch on the show? I mean that in the nicest way, of course, because Taylor really owned the role. Kind of like Emily from DWP, who I loved.

Taylor will do incredibly well, now that she'll finally be ALLOWED a mind of her own. Rachel's staff carries her...she would NOT be able to get any work done on her own. Rachel is FAR too ditzy.

Finally! I have never witnessed such whining from two overrated women in my life, and in this business there are plenty of whiners! Whining in stereo! I am sure RZ is in full convulsion just about now. RZ's clientele should be looking elsewhere for styling representation. Maybe from someone with a little class?! Why would anyone want to be associated with such neurotic messes? And Rodg, grow some would you. You come across as useful as a Eunich to OctoMom! Don't get me started on the other laughing stock Brad! I thought I had seen it all!

Wow these commenters are harsh today. I don't see what is so wrong with people have a little fun with fashion. It seems like all these people commenting are just bashing, where as RZ has been in the business for decades. She's not some cast off from a realty competition like Stylista or some stupid show like The City. I think if she were really as moronic as everyone is saying she is, she wouldn't call fashion's elite her close clients and friends and dress some of the best of the best.

I guess negative commentary is just for the purpose of making everyone who doesn't have anything feel better...

While Taylor always appeared to be quite competent on the show, her attitude left much to be desired. Not many bosses would put up with such obvious displays of disdain. She did not seem to respect Rachel's authority. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I also recall her in season 1 (or 2) saying that she didn't really like styling, especially for awards shows. Perhaps it was a good move for her to leave. But from the way she was shown on TV, she seems like such an unpleasant person...I can't imagine anyone who would want to work with her.

Best of luck TayTay! You've clearly outgrown your role at RZ so I'm glad that you've had the guts to recognize this and forge ahead on your own. An up-and-coming stylist in LA would make for a great reality tv - hoping someone has already thought of this and doing something about it :)

She has nothing to worry about. I saw her styling skills and the way she dresses and I think she will do really well. Don't need to wish Taylor Luck at all, she doesn't need it.

Wow, well here all this time I thought I wouldn't mind if Taylor was gone, but I find myself hoping that she will do something that keeps her in the public eye. I'm curious to see what she can do outside the umbrella of Rachel Zoe.

fashionista, please check out the comment above me endorsing christianlouboutinkiss.com. It seems to be a counterfeit rip off.

Didn't we see this coming after an exasperating 2 seasons of listening to her whining? Though I wish her all the best. There's no sense in staying on a job that makes you feel miserable. I do wonder how her anti-social tendency and social awkwardness will help her with her flying solo...wishing her all the best and future success!

I personally always thought Taylor's attitude was partially because she was unhappily stagnating there. Sure, she likes Rachel and all, but she's one to move forward and challenge herself, which Rachel kept promising her the opportunity to do, then not producing. In the end, this is best. For everyone. I mean, Rachel and Brad have to learn to focus on work before play sometime, right?

Taylor was the only one that did any actual "work". Most of her bitching came from overwork. When you have to bring your parents in on the weekends to clean the dump up, it was time for help to do the dirty work.
Zoe is too much of a diva to get down on her knees and pick up the shoes, and Brad seems to be the upcoming diva in training.
I loved Taylor and wish the best for her.
