Fashion Is Fun

Vogue’s Cold Feet

Vogue.TV just launched their new series, 60 Seconds to Chic.

It’s hosted by Louise Roe, who used to host videos for Vogue UK before moving to America and trying, maybe, to follow in Cat Deeley’s footsteps.

This first episode features winter boots (in fact, it’s almost like a commercial for Sorrel), but styled for different winter occasions including a night out. Louise, who’s credited as a Vogue.TV ‘stylist’ pairs short furry galoshes with a black mini-dress and sequin jacket which sounds cozy, but awkward, kind of like when I wore galoshes with a dress on fashion’s night out and then it didn’t rain. Would you actually wear winter boots to dinner with your cocktail dress? Even if Vogue says it’s ok?

Thats gross and totally not chic. I will never understand everyone obsessed with Hunter boots or with looking lot a hot mess just because people like Kate Moss do it. There is nothing cute, or attractive about galoshes and a cocktial dress, wear them on the way if you're in a full on storm sure but please ew take them off when you've made it in safely.

I guess Anna was too busy today to let this past her.

Horrible styling.
Those boots are for -20 weather and slush. You wear them solely out of need.

I don't buy it. I can find no better proof that a bad outfit put together by your favourite designer is still just a bad outfit.

FYI: 60 Seconds to Chic is by no means "new", and Louise Roe has hosted it several episodes before. Get your facts right, Fashionista!!

The only thing that should go with those boots is equally warm clothing.

And I'm sure everyone is aware of the more stylish rain boots being offered. Personally, I like my Hunter Lady Northampton's so I'm not sure why Guest #1 is getting so worked up over them. Hunter's are quirky. But I'd pick up a nice pair of rain boots styled after riding boots if you must wear them with your dress.

The other boots should be reserved for casual wear that is not meant to impress.
I agree with everyone else. Terrible styling.

WTF????? That look is god awful. If I saw anyone walking down the street looking like that I'd think they were a little off upstairs. This stylist is desperately grabbing onto ridiculous styles.

Vogue better watch out, McKinsey might come back and give the ax to whatever style department came up with this idea!

I would never wear that and if someone would I'd laugh at them...It's not necessary to wear no heal boots to be comofortable....these styles are just childish and completely unpractical.
