“Her interest in catwalk trends is so slight that when she received a Proenza tie-dye tee—before the runway, before anyone, the must-have piece for spring 2010!—she wore it to bed, alone.” –Rachel McAdams in Vogue.

I hate when celebrities talk about their lack of interest in fashion as if it were a good thing, like it shows they’re down to earth or something
normally i could bullsh!t, but rachel seems so down to earth that i believe this.
I don’t even think that shows a lack of interest in fashion, just common sense — those t-shirts were fug, and weren’t fit to be worn outside the house.
she’s pretty enough, but a little boring, no?
I agree #3. And labeled “the must-have piece for Spring 2010!” Who wrote that, a Proenza fanatic aka Tavi?
I think she seems pretty cool, but why is she on the cover of vogue if she doesn’t give a shit?
Agreed, no.s 1 & 6. It would be one thing if a celebrity yakked about their disinterest in fashion and actually wore sweats everywhere, but when they say they aren’t into fashion, but they are dressed up by stylists and photographed for the cover of Vogue, it’s pretty obnoxious.
Why is it obnoxious? It’s just one of the realities of the job… as an actress, having a stylist and being in magazine shoots is a practical career move, even if you’re not that interested in fashion. And you can certainly be interested in clothes and have great personal style without caring about designer labels or what the “must-have” piece of the season is.
i don’t think there’s anything wrong with an actress not caring about fashion…I do think it is strange for Vogue to highlight this. This fact contradicts everything the magazine is suppose to be about.
