Dior Homme Goes Femme

Thursday, Dec 3, 2009 / 8:57 AM

dior homme.jpgThe most commonly written thing about Dior Homme, is how often it’s worn by the girls (not by any scientific measure, we’re just guessing).
Since Hedi Slimane made everything baby-food-skinny in 2001, women have made the tailored men’s suits their own and so it follows, naturally, that Dior Homme would finally make something specifically for girls.
Kris Van Assche announced they’ll offer Dior Homme jeans for women next year. Petite Taille (Small Size) is the name of the label and the jeans, tight and skinny, will come in a rainbow of denim from bleached to black. They’ll start at around $500 and go up to $1300.
Van Assche calls jeans “a key and important unisex item galvanizing all wardrobes.” Jackets next, please.
