Not that we spend enormous amounts of contemplating the subject matter on stamps, but we know something we like when we see it. As in the series of stamps that Alber Elbaz created for the French postal service as part of the celebration of Lanvin's 120th anniversary. Much like the man himself, they're just pure joy and cute as can be. They'll also have little ceramic hearts that you can send out with your postage and La Poste will also be selling pencils, paper presses, and notebooks. There's even going to be a separate Lanvin store on the post office website. Can you ever imagine the USPS doing such a thing? We sure can't. Sigh, just one more reason to be jealous of the French. But seriously, we've had the Simpsons on stamps, so why not get Marc Jacobs or DvF to work on something cool to celebrate New York Fashion Week, or just American fashion in general? Check out two of Alber's designs after the jump.
