Last night, Refinery29 tweeted the death of It’s On With Alexa Chung:
It’s Off With Alexa Chung…her show got cancelled. ☹ ☹
Then they added:
…or so we heard from a little birdie.
We thought the show was doing well, MTV picked up the second season just a couple of months ago and moved the hour long show from noon to three which guarantees a much bigger audience. Alexa’s managed to get everyone from Cameron Diaz to Rihanna on her show, while becoming a significantly bigger celebrity in the States than she was just a year ago.
We hope the little birdie’s wrong.

Really? Cancelled? I love her but the show was kind of off… First they changed the show from an hour to a half and I could never find the time to watch it regularly since it aired at like 12 (hello, we all work at that time just like Alexa).

unfortunately, it’s true. Variety is reporting on it with additional details saying that the last new show will air Dec. 17. Alexa’s contract continues through the early part of next year.

I think Alexa is a great personality, but the show had more star power than substance…I thought her speed-walking around the building was funny, but that can’t last forever. It was a great way to introduce her to the American public and if Alexa moves on, she’ll have plenty of opportunities to choose from.

i dvr the show and watch it when i have time. i think it’s funny. maybe she could move to late night. i love where is beiber (even tho im not really into him and im midtwenties i still think its funny)

i love her sooo much… but the show itself wasn’t so much of a substance rather than her interviewing.. and it seemed like she wasn’t so into the people she was interviewing either.. but it was fun for me to watch.. sad to see her leave. she was a good fixture in williamsburg too..
and she looked awesome as usual in arctic monkeys concert yesterday night watching alex turner! cute!
