The Wooly [Pants]

Thursday, Dec 17, 2009 / 2:44 PM

random irrelevant tim walker.jpgThe other day I bought a pair of perfect black wool leggings from Club Monaco.
The best part about them, other than that they’re thick and cozy and warm, is that they look more like pants than leggings. They’re pretty high rise, and I’m not prone to tucking in my shirt anyway, which means with a just long enough tee or men’s blouse they look more like retro pants – think Sandy at the end of Grease, but not shiny and not slutty.
You can’t shop Club Monaco online and I’m not taking a picture of my legs, hence the random Tim Walker shot, but they also come in grey and are an ideal solution if you’ve vowed not to wear leggings as pants (hooray!) and jeans or Wolfords don’t keep you warm enough in the winter.
I haven’t taken them off since I bought them, which means I might need another pair before winter’s up. If you’re cold, check them out.

it’s a tim walker from Vogue UK, this year, within the past few months? i grabbed it off google images & remember seeing it in the mag, but not sure which month exactly.

Wouldn’t they be itchy?

they’re not. they’re amazing. i have to take them off now to put on a proper party outfit & i’m just sitting here trying to think up a way to make them fancy because i don’t want to take them off.

Rugby Ralph Lauren (same parent company as Club Monaco) has black, navy, and grey sweater leggings for a similar price. And they’re online at Rugby.com!
