I realized that when I saw some pictures from the Facehunter at Copacabana beach. I am from Rio myself, and I can guarantee that, not in a million years would he run into a girl dressed like that walking by the beach in Copacabana. It’s a pity. I used to like it a lot better when it first started. Even the Sartorialist, if you follow his blog, what a difference between now and 5 years ago!

i think that just from people’s energy alone you can spot those who have innate style versus those who are trying hard to be photographed. to me, fashion week here in nyc is overwhelming as you have those who really want to be photographed mixed with the famous mixed with the more and more numerous street style bloggers. i personally am torn about what i think regarding personal style blogs. i think that on the one hand it is a fun way to share your personal style, but on the other the on some blogs you can sense the desperation to make a name for one’s self for fame and that is hard to look at.

the whole versus versace got me confused, but then i googled “spy versus spy” to help me clarify….that’s right, old school mad magazine style…

seriously? you could’ve bypassed all that trouble by using “vs.” versus having to correct yourself TWICE.

I keep thinking that I see so many actual fashion people (people employed by the biz) on these blogs. You see less and less of the “real people” walking the streets not really expecting to get a picture taken. Now, they all just revolve around each other.
Unfortunate, but I guess that’s the way it goes.
