I’ve always had a ridiculous amount of respect for the business that Tory Burch has built and last September I was quite impressed with the groovier vibe her during her collection presentation. And now she’s gone and upped her cool factor even more by bringing on Subversive’s Justin Giunta as design director of jewelry.
Not to worry the Swarovski Award for Accessory Design winner will continue to create his amazing layered baubles for Subversive, and its lower-priced companion Deviated. Phew.
Says Tory to WWD of her new jewelry man, “Justin’s talent and handcrafted aesthetic will take us to the next level.” Yes and yes.
It will probably only take a few weeks after his first collection launches for holiday/resort before one of the necklaces becomes as ubiquitous on the streets of Manhattan as those black flats.
