Sasha Knezevic is one of the world’s top male models, who just so happens to be dating another top model — Anja Rubik.
We’ve seen the pretty power couple join forces before — posing for those adorable Gap ads and then again in those Camilla Akrans ads that were too hot for words. But we’ve never seen them take on a project as large as this one.
Last November, the two began work on the already established Viennese magazine, 25. We aren’t very familiar with the publication, but apparently the magazine needed a major revamp, and after being approached by a friend, Sasha agreed to help out. Before he knew it, he was adding a new job title to his resume — joint Editor-in-Chief. He explains, “I convinced Anja to do the fashion part and before we realized, we had our own magazine.”
With their newly appointed editorial positions (Anja is the Fashion Director), the two were able to bring in a fresh team. In a video interview with Models.com, Sasha talks excitedly about the upcoming spring issue. Juergen Teller, Lachlan Bailey and Victor Demarchelier have already signed on to photograph, and models Eniko Mihalik, Sasha Pivovarova, Heidi Mount, Maryna Linchuk and Abbey Lee Kershaw will pose for the pages inside. And acccording to Fashionologie, the new 25 will have six editorials — five women’s fashion-focused with one men’s fashion spread.
This sounds like a very promising start, and we’re excited to see what young talent can bring to the publishing table. This isn’t your Condé monthly, that’s for sure.

This actually sounds really interesting. How will an ex-basketball player turned hunky model fare in the magazine world with his stick thin model girlfriend?? These are the days of our lives.

exciting! I’ve always thought that models going on to have a career as stylists and photogrpahers, etc. is so logical, and it didnt exacly hurt grace…
I am very excited to see how this turns out…the casting sounds incredible already!
i am austrian and 25 is a trainwreck. the only way is up! i mean, recently they had an editorial called ‘star fuckers’ with tight leather pants and all the other clichees they could possibly come up with. and another one where 5″5 models where dancing in a club – every girl wearing the same dress in every image. you can find that sh*t on facebook.
my understanding, however, was that anya only guest-edited. let’s hope it’s permanent tho!
I worked with Sasha and Anja on a photo shoot and they were nothing but lovely, so I wish them all the best!
