The Pre-Fall Collections We Hope Hint at What’s Next
By Britt Aboutaleb Friday, Jan 15, 2010 / 12:13 PM
thanks to style.com for photosPre-fall collections have been trickling in since the start of December.
Now that we’ve seen most, we’ve picked the six we hope translate into full fledged AW10 collections in New York and Paris next month.
They aren’t necessarily our favorites (well, Proenza and Celine might be), but they’re collections we either want to see more of, see styled differently, or see flushed out in the proper setting.
As for what we hope we never have to see again? Alber’s animal print thesis wasn’t great.

proenza was some kind of perfect, and it was nice to see a little house heritage in givenchy.

well, I definitely think you’re right about Burberry. Yesterdays menswear collection was full of thse navy and olive toned military jackets, and the final 6 or 7 coats were all interpretations of the aviatior, similar to the one in the womens pre-fall collection. Be excited!

I’m swooning over the collections, minus Louis Vuitton’s. Is there a dislike button for this?

Proenza Schouler, Givenchy and Celine are just WOW. I'm not really feeling Balenciaga or Louis Vuitton although, Burberry never disappoints.
