Gaby Basora’s Tucker is set for Target’s next Go International collaboration, following in the footstep of Luella Bartley, Proenza Schouler and Erin Fetherston (to name a few).
The designer, who’s based in New York, started her own collection three years ago after a successful career in styling. Though she’s expanded her line to include dresses and rompers, Tucker’s best known for its colorful silk blouses. And even in spite of their popularity, depending on who’s asked, this might be the most unknown designer to team up with Target.
Target will roll out Jean-Paul Gaultier’s Designer Collaboration on March 7 and Zac Posen’s Go International soon after on April 25, which means Tucker’s collection should hit stores mid-summer.
According to an inside source, the collection won’t include accessories, but there will be swimwear and bottoms. As for the blouses that are sure to take center stage, fabric’s more a concern here than with any past collaboration – there’s little left without the silk.
We expect, however, it’ll be the perfect answer to mid-summer wardrobe needs.

Love her blouses! This is awesome news :)
I had not heard of Tucker, but I love the blouse in the photograph!!! I also was not aware that Jean-Paul Gaultier was going to have a collection at Target. I always admire Target’s designer clothes from a distance, but the quality is never good.

Unfortunate name for a designer since it connotes drunken expats…its the name of a Kenyan beer.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Tucker, but that was my first thought as well. Tucker designs are beautiful but SOO based around the nature of the $$$ fabric…
Tusker is the name of the Belgian beer. Tucker is just Australian for food or something. Collabs are for poors.
