His floating hem skirts billowed like clouds behind the models; it was a brilliant interpretation that gave the garments full movement. Kate loved the jackets, a long olive anorak with coyote lining in particular. The shearling jackets we loved from Balenciaga and Burberry’s pre-fall collections popped up and gave the luxe collection a utilitarian vibe.
The oversized cable knits were the other highlight. Cables ran horizontally and looked especially great on metallic shrugs–I loved a cream-colored coat with huge mongolian lamb cuffs.
A few skirts in big red plaid looked too Burberry for me. They cut a great silhouette with the shrugs and short jackets, but would have been better in a different pattern.
