Charlotte Ronson Does Rock ‘n’ Roll Right

Immediately after the Charlotte Ronson show, I turned to Britt and said, “That was everything Erin Wasson should have been.”

Charlotte Ronson doesn’t try to do anything but what she’s known for: cute, flirty clothes with a rock ‘n’ roll edge. And this season, that mix worked perfectly. Unlike Ms. Wasson’s nightmare–a ratty mix of hobo un-chic that was anything but hip–Ronson knew exactly what her client was looking for: 1970s-inspired styles including some lovely long pleated skirts, frilly floral dresses and silk high-neck blouses with lacy accents.

The clothes were great, but the classic soundtrack, put together by her sister Samantha–Tom Petty, Joni Mitchell, Carly Simon–made me even happier. And so did the goody bag, which included makeup from newly-relaunched Hard Candy and a CD of the tracks played at the show. It’s official: I heart Ronson!
