D&G’s Seventies Ski Bunny
By Lauren Sherman
Milan’s weather was mild today, but the models at D&G were bundled up and ready to trek through snowy pastures. With images of white mountains on display screens behind them, Sasha and co. stomped down a stage crafted with hardwood planks.
What I loved about the D&G girl this season–at least compared spring’s all denim-clad Wild Westerner–was that she looked cozy; the pieces, per usual, were quite wearable. The Fair Isle dresses and leggings were particular favorites, as were the leather shorts. And although I’m not a fan of Mukluk-style boots, I know lots of others are. Which means these ones are sure to appear in plenty of editorials and market pages come September.
But enough about the clothes–I’m guessing you all watched the show online. I get the feeling that next year, livestreaming the runway will be a requisite, not a trend.
