I’m in France and I’ve never heard of them. They just can’t have a million users.
Also, it’s funny how they tried to say they’re not bloggers a few times, but fashionista totally ignored them and still put ‘bloggers’ even in the headline.

Totally agree with Signature 9. I feel there must be extreme over-inflation in the numbers they told you.
Lauren – I think it would be a great story to address fashion bloggers and websites that inflate their traffic numbers.

Just for your information there is 5000 new fashion by year in france.
And french fashion blogger don’t like to promot their blog, when you ask the question “How many daily vistor are going on your blog” , you have this following answer “A don’t care about visitors” i do it for my pleasure.

@Signature9 I totally agree. I actually had our writer double check that it wasn’t pageviews because it would make a heck of a lot more sense. But they insists it’s uniques…Obviously, if were writing a story about them, not doing a Q&A with them, it would have been addressed.
Could be an interesting story in and of itself.

Not to take away from anything they’re doing, but I doubt if they have a million “users.”
I’ve noticed that there’s a serious case of overinflation when it comes to numbers related to fashion bloggers/online publishers in most stories.
Perhaps they have a million “hits” a month, which include requests from robots and automated things, but there’s no way a million visitors per month are going to the site. For comparison’s sake, Style.com is estimated to have 1.8 million visitors/month, Vogue.fr has about 220,000/month, Garance has about 220,000/month (source: Google ad planner).
It doesn’t take anything away from what they’re doing, or make it any less impressive, but it’s time to stop referencing imaginary numbers.

Hey @fashiondoc it’s just online, but they have both a blog and a magazine. It’s very similar to how the New York Time’s T magazine is built online.
