Watching Frank's collection last night was actually exciting.

The clothes transitioned from black, to gray, to camel, to pale blue and finally into white, and I felt like I was back in my color theory class in college---and I loved color theory.

Alongside his palette experiments, he worked with texture, layering black on black on black, gray on gray on gray, and so-on. The effect was a clean-looking collection, though neither simple nor minimal. It was just right.

Frank gave us a lot of knits and a good dose of leather, most memorably in dress form under long coats, leather jackets and stunning shaggy knit sweaters---my favorite pieces by far.

If Frank's dressing me, next fall can't come soon enough.
