As you know, we’re big fans of Kelly Cutrone‘s new reality television show, Kell on Earth, here at Fashionista. Even my boyfriend–whose ideal reality program leans more towards Chopped–is obsessed.

But one thing that drives him nuts about the show is Stephanie Vorhees. He just can’t comprehend how she’s unable to accomplish the smallest tasks: “How can someone have so many problems getting envelopes in the mail?”

Well, we’re guessing that Kelly, Emily and co. were thinking the same thing, because it looks like Ms. Vorhees didn’t last very long at People’s Revolution.

This morning, a tipster sent us a pitch from Stephanie, who is now selling real estate at Halstead Property’s Greenwich village office. And according to her LinkedIn account, she left People’s Rev at the end of September.

Honestly–and this is the truth–we have no idea if Stephanie’s the one who gets fired tonight on the show. Maybe she is, or maybe she leaves on her own. We’ll see. However, we’re happy that she’s found a job that has nothing to do with organizing seating for the Ralph Rucci show or putting together press packs. Because that, she did not excel at.

i was at bryant park on last tuesday and went to the media / credential small tent to pick something up and saw the bronzer-running down face guy there .. so maybe he's not at peoples rev anymore either…

It's pretty catty and mean to refer to her as 'dumb'. Maybe that job just wasn't right for her. That doesn't really justify the name calling.

It's a joke. She's characterized on the show as being flighty. I doubt there was one person who has read this post who didn't know who I was talking about by referring to her as such.

no, she really is dumb.

She really is dumb, and little rich kids are the only group of people that I don't feel bad about being critical of. They need it if they're ever going to realize that they need to be able to affix stamps to envelopes. I think the worst thing that she did was ask Kelly if she wanted her to “break it down” for her, and proceeded to inform Kelly that they were putting on a fashion show. I would have backhanded her, but Kelly just said “spare the me the soap opera buildup”. Great lady.

Where can I see Kell on Earth online? I live in Toronto, so Hulu's out. any suggestions?

Wait. Now she's selling real estate in New York? Yikes.

I currently intern at a fashion house and I was given a piece of mail to drop off in a USPS box. And the stamp was a 64 cent stamp instead of a 44 cent stamp. I couldn't stop laughing to myself.I cannot believe Stephanie is in real estate now. First finance, then fashion, now real estate. It seems like she doesn't know what she's passionate about which I can completely relate to. I wish her well no matter how “dumb” she is.

She reminds me of myself when I first started in PR. I was way too young (untrained) to even be an intern. I blamed others for my stupid mistakes – and it has to be said that I was allowed to work at the firm a lot longer than I should have been. My boss was also a woman who employed a great deal of women (only one man ever) and took us under her wings. Now, watching Kell on Earth – I appreciate it all so much more than I should have. As a 49 year old woman who just finished her book “If You Have to Cry; Go Outside” I completely get Kelly Cutrone and her way of living and working. The shame about Stephanie is that today's media is quick and fast to share information. She's a household name to those who watch reality TV. While she got the attention of being on the show; she'll also receive the fame for appearing so unpolished, and lacking in professionalism. 88

http://www.halstead.com/agents.aspxHer names is listed on the website as an agent so your tipster is in fact correct!

From looking at her Linkedin resume, I have no idea why Kelly and co ever hired her as an account executive. She has no experience in the fashion industry. Part of the fault belongs to her bosses who hired her for a position she obviously did not have enough experience for. Once in the position though, she did prove herself to be extra incompetent and lacking in common sense.

Bravo's website has the first two episodes so far. I guess we just have to wait a week later for each one to be uploaded online.

i agree that she doesn't know what she is doing but at the same time i would be so embarrassed if my mistakes were shown on tv for the world to see.

Actually she said “Duh.”

this really makes me angry that everyone keeps calling steph dumb! she was just stressed out and all of those stupid jobs she had to do were supposed to be done by interns, andrew and skinner (yes, skinner is suppose to be working for her and has been in pr for 4 years while steph v was in pr for under a year)

Can we all remember THIS IS A REALITY SHOW, for christ sakes!

I went to college on the east coast with Stephanie and have a older brother that used to work in reality TV. In college, Steph was very organized, smart and hardworking and graduated with honors. I asked her once why she wasn't at at one of the ivies and she admitted that she was an indifferent student in high school, but had seen the light. While the rest of us were trying to land one job in 08, she got five offers including the William Morris training program, and helped me and some of my friends get interviews with some of the contacts she made. According to my brother, reality TV contracts are basically legal slander and if someone refuses to sign it, they are fired, a little different than the usual reality tv show that uses volunteers. The incompetent blonde role is a standard stereotype and created by dubbing, faking scenes, and editing tricks, since no one feels sorry for the pretty girl. If they cast some 300 lb girl in the same role, you'd be repulsed by the bullying. Viewers are being played for fools by Kelly, who is clearly desperate for attention and probably the money to keep her firm afloat. Stephanie, all your college friends love you and miss you and hope to see you at the reunion in a few years. We see no reason to watch this fabricated pos now that you're not on it.

TOOk them long enough!! If someone like that worked with me I'd go insane and lose it on her. I almost lost it watching her. She needs to find her true calling. =)

for her college friends, she might be book smart, but she did not have a lot of work smarts. Schools need to add practical courses so newbies aren't so frazzed out in the real world. She never wrote anything down or followed any procedure the same way twice, most importantly, she never learned from her mistakes. All involved did not handle this as they should have.

I do think that Stephanie was naive to trust a piece of human slime like Kelly, who is trying to become famous by exploiting young girls for ratings. IMHO, based on one year in public relations at firm that doesn't do fashion shows, she was “hired” more for TV as a disposable employee. Most of those mistakes, especially the gift bags smack of scripting and dubbing. The backlash on some sites in favor of the junior employees is likely why Kelly is now lying about Stephanie's experience on Bravo to cover up her charade. With Voorhees free, I predict that Skinner, who is supposed to be the “smart” one and Tan Andrew will become the new whipping boys for Emily/Robyn/Kelly. The “good” news is that magic elves will probably be forced to destroy Kelly and her firm to keep the ratings up.

yeah, steph seemed pretty much worthless especially to a company like peeprev in the midst of nyfw. next i hope to see andrew's head on the block. he's a real liability to kell's co. because it seems as tho' he's there to socialize (ie. drink over looong lunches) rather than work and he influences others in the office to follow his “workless” ethic. bye andrew.

Yeah, come on, she clearly fell off the turnip truck. The reality TV lens might give the impression that she's nasty when she's actually nice, but even the most genius editor or story producer couldn't make someone look that incapable of performing functions that would be simple for the average three-year-old. Bag of Spanners. Dumber than.

yeah I need her job. it seemed like she was more concerned with looking like she was in fashion thwn actually getting the work done
