Last Night’s Presentations: Camilla Staerk & Graeme Armour
By Britt Aboutaleb
Milk threw an impromptu party last night.
Peter Jensen staged a last minute runway show in one corner, leaves flew out of Billy Reid in another, Victor Glemaud’s muscled men lined up against one studio wall while Camilla Staerk’s models covered the opposing side, and Graeme Armour held repeated runway runs in the fourth corner while everyone ran in and out of each swilling beer, catching up and fawning over the stellar clothes in each and every room.
Staerk’s line-up included perfect leather dresses, jackets and pants ruched, pulled and tied around the body. Nude and red were both peppered among the black; the stark presentation lent the clothes a perfect frame.
Alistair McKimm styled the Graeme Armour show across the way. Armour’s a Central St. Martin’s grad who put in serious time with Alexander McQueen and showed a sleek, futuristic collection with fringed pants, transparent mesh paneling and loads of leather–almost all in black.
The energy, and the talent, was invigorating.

As I told Britt this morning, I NEED that black leather dress with the peplum.
