London Fashion Week’s Lethal Invites Draw Attention–And Blood
By Britt Aboutaleb
London Fashion Week’s gotten a bit dangerous.
An invitation to yesterday’s Sass & Bide show came on plastic cut to look like broken glass (either that or a mirrored horn). It may look cool, but its sharp edges drew blood from more than one attendee.
“What were they thinking?” a reporter squealed while waiting in line.
A seat at Topshop Unique usually comes with a tote bag, but today the crowd walked away with knives. The knife, part of the Victorinox survival kit offering “13 essential tools for Fashion Week survival,” may be less than two inches long, but we’re wary of exhausted fashion folk running through London armed with knives of any sort.
And lastly, Burberry’s credit card-shaped invite feels a bit less sharp than Spring’s, but the edges are far from dull.

How Gauche! I find all this a little to cocaine-esque for my taste…knives, credit cards to cut up dust on a mirror.
Rachel, you are forward in fashion but way behind in this revolutionary new commenting system.
rashy the only disqus that i am truly familiar with is the one i take two times a day-advair diskus for asthma
You spelled Disqus wrong in your 2nd comment.
Come to the Stylelikeu party at Hotel Rivington or the OAK party at SPIN NY this coming Tuesday
i did spell advair diskus correct though. rashy are you on that site? i am going to have one of the busiest weeks of my life this coming week plus i am a bit of a shy person who hides behind her computer most of the time. i used to live a few doors down from spin, funnily enough. such strange decor they have when you pass by. thank you for inviting me though! don't take that as a diss-
are you profiled on stylelikeu? i will look you up if you take off your spy mask
Don't lie Rachel, you will be busy making comments on this site, just like Kristen May. Nick told me to tell you your excessive commenting has slowed everything down dramatically and now they have to switch the whole site to DOS.
i am going to spank your tushy
