Marni’s sheer tights confirmed what Prada‘s knitted socks foreshadowed: Knee highs are back in a big way for fall.
I haven’t worn knee high socks since eighth grade, which was also the last time I wore a plaid kilt, another top trend.
I plan on layering mine over textured tights. And maybe even with a bare leg for early fall.
Will you succumb to the knee high trend or let it pass you by?

i don't really like the knee socks, but i have seen thigh-highs, and i love that look,above knee or extra-long-high socks are a trend i want to try, i just need to find a moderately priced perfect pair! and before fall!

they're here to stay. Maybe it's just in my neck of the woods, but i've been seeing them constantly for the past few years, especially in the winter. Since retailers keep selling there has to be someone buy them .

OTK socks (not thigh-highs… there's a slight difference haha) are much more flattering, in my opinion. American Apparel has some great pairsxx

it's not next fall/winter. people are wearing them now. and not just twelve years olds.I have a stripy purple pair with bows on, and a knitted grey Tabio pair. I usually wear them with skirts that are just above the knee.
Absolutely! I've been wearing knee-high fishnets w/ pencil skirts for years—it looks so cute! I have kind of big calves, and knee-highs of any kind (sheer and matte and chunky) surprisingly make my legs look smaller. :)
