The anticipation around Prabal Gurung’s AW10 show was almost impossible to live up to.

In the past few months, he’s gone from a beloved member of the industry to a Rachel Zoe fave. He’s dressed Demi Moore, Leighton Meester and even built a custom gown for Oprah.

This was his first proper runway show, and Anna Wintour sat front and center, down the aisle from the Zoe Saldana.

I walked in wanting dresses, and Prabal made us wait until the end for his brilliantly constructed, red carpet ready looks. This color blocked white and camel shift, a black and white ruffled mini over sheer black mesh and a green sheath with black paneled ruffles on each side were the highlights, and we won’t be surprised if one pops up at the Oscars next month.
