I knew I was exhausted, but I thought something was seriously wrong when Prabal Gurung sent me a link to these images last night.
Thank god they’re actually supposed to be moving, and I’m not losing my mind.
Prabal met photographer Michael Fivis in Brooklyn–where he shoots rock bands on stage–and fell in love with his work: “New technology and innovative techniques is something that I am always looking out for. Michael’s so young and inventive; he really knows how to capture an atmosphere’s energy and motion.”
So he asked Michael to hang out backstage and capture all of these 3D shots, “Since it was my first runway show I really wanted to use a photographer who could capture all of the excitement and energy backstage. I love Michael’s unique raw style; it is like a living polaroid…[it] went hand in hand with my collection’s inspiration.”
Click through for the rest of the images, and look for another collaboration between Michael and Prabal in the future.

I can't lie. I'm generally opposed to anything 3-D simple because it requires me to wear those darn glasses and it makes my head hurt and contacts dry out. However, I don't have to wear 3-D glasses with these photos, and I'm ecstatic. Michael Fivis needs to be used more often!
