While some presentations were put on hold due to a blast of winter weather, others are carrying on with business as usual. And still others took pity on the editors/buyers/etc. who did venture out into the blizzard, and sent a car to pick them up. Rebecca Minkoff was one, and we’re ever so grateful.

We made it to her Chelsea showroom, grabbed some macaroons and champagne, and squeezed our way through the packed-to-the max small space.

Rebecca’s doing some amazing things with suede–there was a great pair of black suede shorts and chic gray suede leggings. We loved the tuxedo tail, cobalt blue suede coat, lined with black shearling–it’s perfect for fall. As for the bags, they were in typical Minkoff fashion. Britt loved the small red cross body version, and I’m partial to a putty colored shoulder bag.

When we finally made our way to the end of the room, we spotted Aggy Deyn in the crowd, looking demure behind a forehead of long black fringe and a Henry Holland for Levi’s jacket. If she’s in New York, will she walk a runway? We hope so–and we’ll keep our fingers crossed until Anna Sui on the 17th.
