For a high fashion runway show, seeing that photo come from it is fairly surprising. She does actually look like a 'plus' size model in that particular photo, mostly because her torso looks square, and cuts her arms unflatteringly. I don't think its anything super shocking, but the fact that these designers are using models with an itsy bit more meat is a positive thing. Obviously there are people that are naturally super-skinny, but it shouldn't be that this is the only acceptable runway look. Diversity is interesting, and if a girl that is already very slim has some hips and breasts, she shouldn't be encouraged to lose that in order to have a career.

I have to agree here that when the fashion industry talks about 'curvy' women, they are actually talking about very skinny women as opposed to very very skinny women- I find it alarming that there are people who can refer to the pictured model as 'plump' without a hint of irony- surely the only people who could say that are anorexics, or worse- pro- anorexics who are happy to promote a dangerous idea and watch other people starve for it. Whilst I may enjoy fashion, there is a really horrible underbelly to the industry, and to it's followers, which is quite sad really…

I'm thin, I mean naturally thin. I know that most of the women are “curvy” but it isn't my case. “Thin” does not mean “anorexic”. So think a little bit. Anorexia is bad. Snejana onopka is a bad case but look on coco rocha, behati prinsloo, irina lazaeranu. Why don't you want to keep thin models ? It isn't realist if they are all curvy. You have complexes and put itt off on the models that you don't know in person. point.

If you think this very tall and slender model looks “plump” in this (ugly, retro) dress, imagine what the average slim woman would look like in it. Sorry Lauren, but this Prada collection really is not designed to make women look good.

sounds like youre getting angry that anorexic models are out and that feminine silhouettes are in. everyone knows that prada is a leader in their casting decisions, and what models they use will be the new standard. you are such a pro-anorexic, predjudiced towards thin models

I think not whether it is fat or thin, I see a very serious peiando, a dress and a very serious pantyhose who wish not to be serious, if you leave hair or a loose ponytail, and more red lips and a strident color we will not feel fat or anything, we should see something sexy, that's what sells, be sexy. without being (you know) and we do not transmit the model.

You're not of average height for a male. Just thought you should know that…The average height of a male is 5 feet 9 1/2 inches. The average female heigh is 5 feet 4 inches.

Anyone who thinks that Doutzen looks “plump,” even in that dress, has a very, very warped perspective. She looks skinny — merely not like an outright walking corpse, the way the other emaciated models do.
