The Secret to William Rast, According to Justin Timberlake
By Britt Aboutaleb
So, William Rast is maybe the only, or one of the only celebrity lines that’s actually been accepted by the fashion industry, how’d you guys pull that off?
Justin: Honestly? Thanks! I guess I think it’s because we’re not trying to be something that we’re not. We’re consistent with our culture and we’ll always be that way. The way to build a brand is that people like to depend on things and we want to be the kind of brand that people can depend of. I don’t think we’re trying to be couture, and I think the fashion world–I think we gain more respect for not trying so hard and just emulating the designs that we love. And we’ll continue to do that.

what about the olsens line? i feel like its more successful, no?
And Victoria Beckham's is doing pretty well…
I think perhaps because William Rast has been around a bit longer than both The Row and Victoria Beckham's line? I'm not sure about L.A.M.B. not being included.
I don't like it and I'm very surprised it's successful. Despite being very over priced, it's very trashy looking, it's like Erin Wasson x RCVA meets American Eagle Outfitters.
homeless chic ?
William Rast is the only line accepted by the Fashion Industry…..REALLY???!?
Since when?
Where is the proof.
William Rast the only successful? HARDLY. Victoria Beckham's line of dresses is doing incredibly well… Gwen Stefani is definitely in the game I'd say too? To be honest, I'm shocked to hear that William Rast is doing as well as it has been.
