Versus Proves that Christopher Kane is the Perfect Designer Specimen
By Lauren ShermanCan Christopher Kane do no wrong?
If tonight’s Versus presentation was any indication, the answer is yes.
Much like his spring collection for the Versace diffusion line, Kane captured the essence of the brand while making it all his own–as well as appealing to a younger audience. Allegra Beck Versace–23-years-old and majority shareholder in the company–is his ideal customer. To wit, she was in the stands today, cheering on her mother’s design protege.
More than anything, I loved the razor sharp pleating on several of the skirts. I could take or leave the pants and jacket combos. But I can’t get those short, punchy dresses out of my mind.

A match made in heaven. Those Bruce Weber tees are going to have to make their way in to my life somehow… I am so curious to know the price point of this collection….
I'm pretty sure it's a Miu Miu type of diffusion line. Still crazy-expensive. Just not as crazy-expensive as Versace.
dyyyying
So stunning! The cut-outs are killer. I especially love the bondage-esque bodice dress (3rd photo)
