Here’s a little nugget of trend wisdom we culled from New York Fashion Week: A few designers–from Yohji to Betsey–have shown jail stripes on the runways.

Obviously it’s an extension of the Breton shirt craze, mixed with a sudden obsession with the Wild West.

But what about the long coat dress Charlotte Ronson showed? Doesn’t it resemble an orange jumpsuit more than just a little?
