A Girl’s First Chloé

Wednesday, Mar 10, 2010 / 10:00 AM

I loved Chloé when Stella McCartney was there; who doesn’t love horse pants and pineapples? I still check eBay for Phoebe Philo’s wood-heeled boots and mary janes, and I love the groove Hannah MacGibbon’s worked herself into. (Paulo Melim Andersson wasn’t there long enough for me to get attached.)

So, it was with great anticipation that I landed in my seat for my first Chloé show in the Tuileries yesterday. The tent was covered in white, each seat topped with a gold embossed folder, and even the ushers had cursive ‘C’s embroidered on their crisp white shirts.

Raquel opened the show, with the breezy bouncy hair from this season’s ads. The woman behind me breathed, “My god that hair’s divine.”

The clothes, which were basically all camel with grey and denim accents, looked like they were made for Celine’s little sister. High waisted camel pants, a couple of long sleeved jumpsuits, a leather trimmed skirt, a denim blouse and loads of coats and jackets. I kept hoping for a party dress, even just one, to float down the runway, but this was a very grownup, expensive-looking Chloé.

But I will add the camel coats to all things I love from the French house.

just for your future knowledge i stock Chloe and when PMA started designing it i could not remember his name. one of my staff then gave me a hint. just think of Pamela Anderson and i now remember his name every time. also gets a laugh. All at Chloe are very happy with what Hannah is doing, she justs need to put a Hannah stamp on it like Phoebe did post Stella.

I loved the pants in this collection, especially the burgundy leather ones.

great colours!

she looks great
