We’re all well aware of Anna Wintour’s desire to broker deals for certain young designers, from Olivier Theyskens to Thakoon in The September Issue.

Her latest project is celebrated British designer Christopher Kane, says a source.

This isn’t the first time Kane’s gotten Wintour’s attention–she introduced him to Donatella Versace a while back, who Kane now regularly works with, heading up the revival of Versace’s Versus diffusion label on top of his eponymous brand.

But Wintour wants the It-designer to become a household name Stateside. She’s apparently looking into several projects.

Will 2010 bring us Christopher Kane for Target? We sure hope so!
