Thanks so much for joining us last night! We had so much fun! Our picks: Carey Mulligan, Diane Kruger, Maggie Gyllenhall, Meryl Streep and Tom Ford.
Maggie Gyllenhall? Uh, the Oscars weren't in Hawaii. Plus the dress fit her poorly. Worst dressed.
when does diane not look perfect?
Zoe Saldana wearing Givenchy! It was superb! She deserves to be on that list!
Umm, that skirt….
zoe saldana???although I do love her, and I do think she is one of the new generation actresses, and a girl who know's her fashion…she looked bad!that dress had no clear story, better say it had two different stories, the top was telling one thing and the skirt was telling completely different thing on a different language…and I just DIDN'T GET IT!!! I do have to admit (even though I'm not a fan of her mix-a-lot style) that SJP in the sea of trains, looked different, interesting and fresh, that chanel looked perfect!why isn't she on this list??oh yeah and big thumbs up for meryl streep, she looked great!
I think you chose the perfect top 5. I don't think I was offended by Zoe Saldana's dress because it was garish (and it was, but garish is in, doncha know.) It just wasn't creative enough to support such a bold first impression. That skirt looked too much like something Donnatella would make for Liz Hurley.
please! Cameron Diaz, anyoneMaggie Gyllenhall: from the top: something doesn't work on her face, her dress looks like a sarong Carey Mulligan could have picked better shoeMeryl Streep looks frumpy .Maybe it's bad light but i don't like the white dress on her skin.Have you seen the back of Diane's Kruger dress? Looks like some tied it together to stop it from getting stepped on. And why Tom Ford and not any other man in a black suit with less shiny shoes?
best dressed.. 1-amanda seyfried, 2-demi Moore, 3-Cameron Diaz, 4-Meryl, 5-penelope Cruz.
Does Demi Moore ever get it wrong? I think she looks amazing and only a woman with her body, glowing skin and all that work could wear this colour so well. Bang on trend. Gweneth Paltrow got that colour and shape very badly wrong I think. Cameron Diaz looks amazing, Kate Winslet nice and safe again. Pene Cruz, what were you thinking…awful 80's type too much material thing ukk
Never!
Very funny and I agree!
agree with your demi, penelope, and cameron, and rounding out my top 5 would be diane krueger and elizabeth banks.
oh and honorable mentions to the fab queen latifah and rachel macadams.
I really wanted to like Maggie's dress, but it didn't fit her properly, and the print was too casual for such a black tie event. I'm not opposed to a print dress per say, but its very hard to due it right. I applaud the effort, but if the fit isn't right…Meryl looked incredible…its always interesting to see what older actresses wear.Something wasn't right about SJP's gown…and she looked too tan. Of all the amazing dresses at that Chanel show, that doesn't seem like the right choice.I thought the actress from Precious also looked amazing in the Marchesa dress…very flattering but still glamorous.
Why does everyone love Diane's dress so much? Ive seen so many people blogging about it…I really don't like the ruffles around the hips. Maybe I'm the only one who thinks that… She always looks beautiful no matter what she wears tho!
i completely agree about carey mulligan's shoe choice. it totally cut her off.
Who knew Dries would get his Oscar moment, and Maggie looked great. Gosh i thought i was the only one who liked Diane's dress. Maybe i was going to the wrong sites.
I think Kristin Stewart looked beautiful in the navy Monique Lhuillier and I can't believe how elegant Cameron Diaz looked. I'm really not a fan of Diane Kruger's dress, it's just confused! http://avogueidea.wordpress.com/
Nix Maggie Gyllenhal and add Zoe Saldana. I loved this dress, she made it look better on the red carpet than it did on the runway (http://fashion.elle.com/blog/2010/03/2010-oscar...).Also add Rachel McAdams in Elie Saab and Sandra Bullock in Marchesa.
