Unfortunately, guys, most US-based fashion companies are in New York. When I was in college I lived here during the summers, worked four days a week and interned three. If you really want to be in the business, you've got to make sacrifices.
Lauren, your comment sparked my interest. I am a student at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. Unfortunately there aren't any fashion internships here. I really want to end up in New York this summer. I was curious to find out how you managed to up and move to NY for the summer? I plan on applying for internships in NY, but unsure if I will actually be able to afford a summer there. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks :)
