How to jump-start your business?
1. Land a major feature in The New York Times.
2. Design for Target.
3. Show a stellar collection.
4. Makeover a Manhattan apartment building.
In case one wasn’t enough, Zac Posen’s managed all four. The latter, a building in Chelsea at 16 West 21st Street, is being billed as “The Model Apartment,” including a poster and video campaign in which dolls replace actual models, but appear to live a model-like life (as in perfect).
The architect’s name is Morris Adjmi, but Zac’s led the interior design team on the project, which opens this month. Zac says he’s liked “the opportunity to expand my interest in design,” and considering velvet looks better on a pillow than a dress, we think we’d like living in Posen world. If you need a laugh, watch these.
