Less than two weeks after Aquascutum’s AW10 show, which Sarah Mower called, “a pivotal moment,” head designer Michael Herz has tendered his resignation.
He and men’s designer Graeme Fidler are done. Though their exit date hasn’t been set, this was their last collection for the old British label.
Sources told WWD that Herz is ready to move on to something new and totally different after ten years at Aquascutum. If he is looking to launch his own project, now might be the best time, given the rave reviews he received at London Fashion Week.
Meanwhile, the house will take its time looking for a replacement. They’re happy with their “strong design team.”
