Rachel Zoe was front row and center at several Milan fashion week shows, including Dolce & Gabbana and Roberto Cavalli.

But it was at Salvatore Ferragamo that she seemed most enthusiastic, snapping pictures of designer Massimiliano Giornetti’s slinky ’70s-inspired Lurex gowns. (This was Giornetti’s first women’s collection, although he’s been Ferragamo’s menswear designer for sometime.)

Although we preferred the day wear–particularly the pinstripe suits and leather shorts–the dresses were pure Zoe.

Expect to see these shimmering frocks on the likes of Jennifer Garner, Anne Hathaway and Debra Messing next awards season.

I hope she doesn't suggest these dresses for the red carpet! The in person beauty (I'm guessing) of these gowns don't translate in photographs or TV for that matter. Also depending on how it hangs the dimensions given by the shadows may not be all that flattering.

There were so many other amazing choices for the red carpet please leave Ferragamo for the daytime.
