We had a rough morning with Stella McCartney's GapKids collection.
She cut everything smaller this season, so more kids can buy it, and fewer fashion editors. But it's even better than the last which means we want everything. Her first collection for Gap, which launched just a few months ago, sold out of everything large within hours. This time around, we got there early-before it opened to the public early-but it didn't matter. There was no hope for the little girls' clothing, so we did our best with the boys' XL.
Lauren took home a striped sweater and a braided rainbow belt (if you were born before 1990, you probably had one). The crochet dresses and rompers were particularly cute, if there's a baby in your life. And my lifelong dream of having a Giles SS10 dino bag has been temporarily satisfied by Stella's stegosaurus pajama pack. Unfortunately, the pajamas inside don't quite fit over my ankle, but if you see me pulling my cell phone out of a giant blue dinosaur, don't make fun, it's the next best thing (until I get my hands on a Gremlin).
