The Best Shoes For AW10

Thursday, Mar 18, 2010 / 3:02 PM

Shoes are every girl’s first love, so I’ve been scouring the AW10 runways since February for next fall’s best footwear.

From Thakoon’s furry booties to Christopher Kane’s leather lace-ups, AW10 delivered a wide spectrum of beautiful shoes. Balenciaga’s synthetic loafers in pastel colors are my personal favorites.

Think of our lengthy list as more of wish list than a shopping list–we don’t have to worry about narrowing it down until they actually hit shelves at the end of summer.

Click through for the list in its entirety!

the ostrich shoes at MJ were also great!theworkinggirlesq.blogspot.com

Agreed, no point-toed MJ ostrich flats? Those were the most memorable shoe of the year for me, visceral impression of the Balenciaga's aside.

i wasn't really a fan of the MJs (sorry!) but if you could link me a pic maybe i'll give them a second chance.

Am I the only one who's not really a fan of ANY of the shoes pictured here?

the bottega venetas are actually very beautiful, would look great with a high arch. and mcqueen def had some better feather booties than the ones shown..

Nice shoes! The one by Marios Schwab looks funny though while I love the classic look of Yves Saint Laurent.Looking forward to finally seeing them on the shelves.

Derek Lam had some great shoes too!

What the *?)# are you thinking? I get a good laugh and occasional inspiration from fashion, but these are universally too weird and scary. Get real. An honest question – how did you know to call those things loafers? I looked thru the list a few times before I realized you were talking about those plastic high-heeled units.

Yeah, they are cute, but hello? fall is over. RIP Fall ;) Now those Yves Saint Lauren could work right now and soo sexy.

I died for Balenciaga (again). A nice mix of demure 70's-chic teacher meets intergalactic tribal gallerist. Something to sell Jeff Koons in. I wonder who we'll see them on first…I also liked Vuitton and Stella's.

Ok wait I changed my mind. I forgot about those Burberry Prorsum's. Hyperventilating. And those McQueen's are o.k. but I really loved his baroque OTK boots.
