Fashion News Roundup: How To Get Shot by The Selby, Vogue‘s May Cover & Marc’s Music
In Your Place: Judging from the masses of rolled pants, scarves and pops of color posing around New York Fashion Week, Refinery29′s How to Get Shot By The Sartorialist flow chart worked wonders. Now they’d like to explain how to get the Selby “all up in your place.” Their style director, Piera Gelardi, did such a good job with her watercolors we thought Todd was in on this. {Refinery29}
Surf’s Up: WhoWhatWear’s editorials always make us long for California, but this one makes the longing positively painful. We probably wouldn’t wear Herve Leger to surf, but crazier things have happened. {WhoWhatWear}
Cover Girl: Bryanboy tweeted an early look at Vogue‘s May cover, which stars Sarah Jessica Parker. Just in time for SATC2. {TwitPic}
Marc’s Music: Of course one of Marc’s designers is in a band. In fact, we’d bet more than one. But this particular one is in a band called Unsolved Mysteries and their album, Tragic Trouble, is sold in Marc’s stores. You can hear their single here. {Nylon}
Nifty Knickers: We’ve been in the mood to buy pretty bloomers lately. This pair really fuels our fire. {Vanessa Jackman}

vogue!! yet another crash and burn smiling, airbrushed bore…wow this is getting ridiculous. she looks like a young Nancy Reagan…scary hairline airbrushing or something…
Thanks!!
I'm a fan of SJP, but that cover is so mind-numbingly bland. It really does look first-ladyish, and not in a good M.O. way. Seriously, if this is timed to come out and spark excitement about the Sex and the City sequel (which is terribly unnecessary in my opinion), then this cover should be bright, quirky and have some serious statement pieces that makes people fantasize about having the balls and the money to pull it off themselves. Bit of a rant, but yuck.
