Target kicked off their Zac Posen collection in Midtown last night.

They went all out, draping the ceiling in crystals and filling a tower full of hydrangeas and roses in the center of the room. The Like played on stage, The City filmed upstairs and by the time we arrived, about an hour and a half after the party started, most of the racks were empty—but I managed to snag the dress at left.

It fits well, as did the few other things I threw on over my jeans and t-shirt. Some of it, the convertible dresses and the tie-dyed t-shirts, looked like Target, but most of it looked great. The red leather jacket could’ve stepped off of Isabel Marant‘s fall runway and the gown looked and felt like it should cost more than $69. More importantly, it fit both a size 2 and a size 8.

The girls camping out on 8th Avenue won’t be disappointed, especially since they’re actually there for the clothes. Though they’d been sitting outside since 6pm (listening to the Tea Partiers protest down the block), they couldn’t have cared less when people like Pat Field, Zac Posen or Selma Blair walked by, though we could barely contain ourselves when Tanya D walked by on our way out.

Zac’s collection will be available in Target stores April 25, or on the corner of 34th Street and 8th Avenue until 11PM tonight!
