Giles Deacon had lunch in Paris with a table full of Ungaro executives, including owner Asim Abdullah.
They ate at Le Relais Plaza on Friday afternoon, and we can only imagine how difficult it was for Abdullah to explain why they hired Lindsay Lohan in the first place and why Giles should ditch his own beloved label in favor of the disastrous house of Ungaro. Unless of course he gets to keep his own line, too.
Imagine the things Giles could do with Ungaro’s seemingly bottomless budget?
He could send burlap sacks down the runway and it’d be perfection compared to this past year’s collections. He could design genius bags, and actually produce them. Even heart-shaped pasties might look good in his hands.

I have to say I am a bit intrigued. Although I am not much of a follower of Emanuel Ungaro, I do appreciate Giles Deacon and his quirky collections. Maybe he can help salvage the brand, the way Peter Dundas has done over at Emilio Pucci.
Umm , all of Giles bags have gone into production for the past 4 seasons at least? You should have gotten in touch with his inquiries department if you wanted a Dino so bad…
Please, Yes. Awesome.
I like Giles's collections but what do they have to do with Ungaro's trademark prints, draped jersey and coquettish ruffle dresses. It's a far fetched idea…fashion world needs to forget about the last few disasterous resurections of the iconic house before embracing it again.
