I heard this on the radio earlier today and was so shocked. He was too young and despite all his controversy with certain people, he and Vivienne Westwood brought so much to fashion and music that will live forever. RIP Malcolm.

Wow, agree with lintmag. RIP the best businessman of 1977.

This man had some business genius: he created the first alternative/punk boy's band out of an existing band. Vivienne Westwood's own contribution to fashion may have been greater than his own contribution to music (does anyone remember this strange album with Catherine Deneuve, Françoise Hardy & Sonia Rykiel? No-one would ask 'but who is Sonia Rykiel?', nowadays?)
