Last night, after Jack Purcell’s spring campaign party (seriously, The Selby is everywhere), I headed to Chinatown for Dale Style and Carol Schuster’s “Three Decades of Fashion” preview event.
Carol Schuster is the Worldwide Managing Director for Global Brand Management at Ogilvy & Mather, which means she has traveled the world and amassed an extraordinary collection of clothes.
The preview—which was also a pre-sale shopping party—was held at Carol’s apartment, and women of all ages filled the first floor, scouring racks and enjoying champagne cocktails.
I didn’t buy anything, though I was definitely tempted. There were some amazing pieces: a black leather Balenciaga vest, this Prada lips skirt, YSL Le Smokings and much more. And that’s not even half of it.
Carol’s full collection includes Alexander McQueen, Chanel, Dries Van Noten, Hermès and Margiela to name a few, and it will be sold to the public at pop-ups around New York—the first of which will be held on Saturday, May 8th from 11am to 5pm at Dailymotion Studios (80 Fifth Avenue).
If you’re a vintage enthusiast, or even just a fashion lover, you should definitely it check out.
