Vena Cava Will Launch Printed T-Shirt Line, Viva Vena
By Britt Aboutaleb Wednesday, Apr 7, 2010 / 11:27 AM
Vena Cava’s jumping on the t-shirt bandwagon, but Lisa Mayock and Sophie Buhai may be the first designers to do something different with the wardrobe staple.
Instead of another slouchy heathered tee, they’re introducing prints.
The line, Viva Vena, debuts at Barneys and Shopbop this fall, and given the girls expert use of print throughout their collections we have high expectations. Navy blue may count as color in our closet, but between Miu Miu’s birds and Isabel Marant’s candy-colored stripes, we’ve been craving prints for spring.
And Buhai promises WWD that the line’s “priced so you didn’t have to think about it.”

Hmmm, The Cut says that the line is going to be $200 and under… Sorry Sophie, but I do “have to think about” spending $200 on a tee shirt.

Im so happy that its different from all the other designers also pouncing on the new t-shirt trend. I have so many white tees that its crazy. Glad to have a pattern that is affordable(a.k.a guilt free)

I found a great place —– **** Ri ch Ki ss.c om **** —- It 's where you have the opportunity dreaming about dating a millionaire and make it true! In my opinion everyone needs to meet some miracle or something fresh.
It's cool seeing more designers interested in tees. I think they are a great fashion that are completely underrated. You get a great tee and it can truly make a statement.
Love Vena Cava. I know the tshirt has always been popular but there is definitely a renaissance of it at the moment.
You're quite right! $200 can buy me 3 pcs of equally popular brand. :)
