We received an unexpected Save the Date yesterday. What for? Yves Saint Laurent‘s cruise collection, set to debut June 3 in New York City at the Consulate General of France.

After Chanel’s trip to St. Tropez and Dior’s visit to Shanghai, it’s no surprise Stefano Pilati and co. have chosen an alternative location, even if it’s a tad less exotic. Of course, we’re thrilled that’s it’s our city.

Now, it may be Cruise, but we’re still betting on lots of black from Pilati. And considering about 80% of our collective wardrobes are comprised of the non-color, that’s a good thing.
