My favorite was Burberry… I love the 50s vibe, but it's weird to see that in an ad. /: I think companies like Prada and LV should use their ads to appeal to a modern woman… not that the ads aren't gorgeous, because of course they are, but women don't want to dress like 50s housewives, especially not fashionable businesswomen/ etc. I do like the “diversity” in the LV ad though… a little older, a little fuller models gives it a grown up vibe. Though I would have never picked out the D&G ad as D&G… where is the gold? The sex? Doesn't it remind you a bit of the LV 'journey' ads? Maybe that's just me! Burberry was totally on-brand and cool and the models are so pretty! So they win.
There are actually 5 girls in that Prada ad. The nameless black model in the shadows in the back of the second picture shown. Not appreciated, Prada. Not at all.
I don't care for the Burberry. I feel like I've seen the same “concept” executed better in Burberry campaigns before. In this instance, it just looks like a bunch of gaunt kids in shearling are gonna try to fuck me up. I can't believe how amazing Christy Turlington looks in that beautiful LV spread (even though we've all seen how talented their photoshop dept. is.)
Good point Dari – thanks for bringing it up.
I absolutely love the LV and D&G campaign they always come with the fllllllyest and most creative looks the others appear to be repeats of what we've seen in the past….
…are they all out then? I mean, I know these are but this is barely any
I'm really disappointed with Burberry, 'An All British Cast'' that doesn't include Lily Donaldson. I like the concept at LV but I really don't like the cast, perfect LV cast for me would have been Lily, Lara [even though I'm not too keen on her] and Natasha. I don't know why Sigrid was cast for Prada, she's so bland. I love Dolce & Gabbana [what girl won't] My interest in Valentino completely died when I heard who the cast was , Jac, Freja and Tati!! No, No and No, uggg! Roll on next Season.
How about the Chanel ads shot on Orchard st??? are they out yet?
LV definitely revitalized my faith in the brand. From the modernized speedy to the bag displayed in the photo shoot to the overall collection.
Loved Leah's first pick – Louis Vuitton. Christy Turlington looks so gorgeous – a classic and ageless beauty.
