Label to Watch: Oroton

I've been on the hunt for the perfect extra large envelope clutch for some time now, and this lavender version from Australian luxury label Oroton is a major contender. The 72-year-old brand may be well-known in Oz, but here in the States it's still new. Luckily for us, Oroton is upping its US presence, which means you'll be seeing it stocked in more stores come 2011. But back to the clutch. I like the simple, flat design, with just a tiny "O" snap closure. And while the lavender--Vivid Violet, they call it--is most appealing, it also comes in a plain vanilla color that's a bit easier to incorporate into your wardrobe. What's more, it rings in at a manageable AUD 295, which is about $255 at the current exchange rate.

Most importantly, I can use this super-sized special to carry my invites during Fashion Month. Thank you, Oroton, for making my life a little simpler. I'm looking forward to seeing what else you've got in store.
