We were surprised to hear that Tilda Swinton had dipped her toes into the often-stinky celebrity fragrance pool. But Like This, the actress’ fragrance collaboration with upscale label Etat Libre d’Orange, is about as far from Curious, Fantasy or Believe as one can get.

The complex blend of neroli, mandarin, pumpkin flesh–combined with powdered ginger, immortelle, rose, heliotrope and vetiver–does the eccentric actress justice.

Lucky Scent, the first US e-tailer to carry the fragrance, is offering up two bottles for Fashionista readers. Tell us in 50 words or less why you love Tilda’s style in the comments section below. The two best answers will be scent a 50ml bottle of like this worth $99. Good luck!

(P.S. Make sure to include the correct email address in your Disqus profile–that’s how we’ll notify the winners.)

It's not even just her androgynous and ever-chic look- it's the direct contact with the camera that she gave in Orlando that elicited a giggle and an insight every time.

That and her boy-juggling. She's my boy-juggling idol.

Tilda has Presence, from her willowy frame to her flaming hair – she commands it. She is as on a pedestal, a celebrity presence that is untouchable: private and provocative.

Tilda embodies this perfume. What's not to love? She's an intelligent, edgy, beautiful, confident in her own skin, unpredictable and above all a very sexy woman, who's not hiding what she wants. The best part of about Tilda? She's charting her own path, and leading the way for independent-thinking ladies everywhere. Hurrah for her!

Tilda is breathtaking every time I see her. I've not once witnessed a fashion faux-pas or disaster made by her, and its because she is unpredictable, extreme, beautiful and a chameleon. She is constantly morphing herself into a new look, and her face and aura are that of elegance, romance, something new and exciting.
She is perfection. Those cheekbones. Those eyes that resemble a doe's eyes, the thin lips that disappear when she's reciting her lines in a soft accent of whatever character for a film role she has taken on.
Congratulations to her on teaming up with Etat. As a fragrance collector/whore and a HUGE fan of Tilda, this is one scent I MUST have in my collection.
Merci for this contest.

I love Tilda's style because she reminds me of a skinny orange creamsicle. Yeah, she is totally cool in how she pulls off androgynous chic, but I prefer the more whimsical and campy Tilda. She was in that horrible movie Constantine (though total guilty pleasure if you ask me) with Keanu Reeves as fallen angel Gabriel, fully decked in the whole nine yards of giant feathered wings and an awesome bandage outfit. And obviously, who could forget her in Narnia as the White Witch with huge dreadlocks luring that kid with Turkish Delight? She's an indie darling who doesn't take herself too seriously and has fun with it.

tilda is the epiphany of a boyish yet womanly elegance style! she embodies so many things that lie in each and everyone! And as the description sais it already…one should always be Curious, have there own Fantasies and Believes in life! She is so unique as we are all! I admirer her strength that shines through her personalty and yet the lightness that comes with it! a true role model in just being yourself and trusting your instincts! she is the coolest chick..if i may say!

I hope this is open to international Readers as well!!

I think it is relevant that Tilda Swinton has maintained her dignity and beauty, not through increased exposure, but by selecting roles in which she will excel. I think in an media age such as ours, this is nothing less than extraordinary.

Tilda is incredibly versatile. She can look strongly androgynous one minute, and softly feminine the next. She is brave and bold in her fashion choices; a true original. She exudes a charming confidence, which is something every person, man or woman, should aspire to. She is fearless, but you wouldn't mind grabbing a beer with her either.

What would Tilda smell like? Maybe a mix of an androgynous Orlando with a Scottish herb picked from her farm. All I know is that she is the only celebrity I would want to smell like. A Lanvin/menswear lover with the acting chops and looks to carry any movie she is in, Tilda is an inspiration and worthy of many perfumes!

She is red, beautiful and unreal… She is love.

i loved constantine! woot woot

This fragrance sounds as complex and beautiful as Tilda in just about any project she tackles. I hope that if I do not win I can at least one day afford it.

She is ethereal and serene, and seems genuinely so. She wears artistic pieces that she clearly loves, and she's a phenomenal presence on screen.

Even if I knew nothing about Tilda Swinton – and maybe I really don't, despite seeing her many great performances – who could not be fascinated by a person who puts pumpkin-flesh in a perfume?! Add to this the fact that she has a cool husband, a stunner beau, and twins, AND manages to look supremely chic, calm as if she's spent the day doing something fabulously mysterious that she'll never tell.

Tilda Swinton has long been my favorite actress, ever since “Orlando”. She is and has always been a stylish original, effortlessly pulling off androgyny like no other. I’m excited about the crisp feminine citrus and pumpkin notes fearlessly paired with the masculine neroli and vetiver–how very Tilda, indeed!

Tilda Swindon is unexpected both fashion wise and career wise, yet both careful and deliberate in her choices, despite their unmistakable and distinct nature and I am excited by the idea of a perfume embodying this essence, a seemingly perfect blend of nature and the ethereal.

This Scottish actress is phenomenal in that she can be sharp and strong yet soft and feminine all at once. She looked stunning yet terrifying as the White Witch and looks as phenomenal costumed on film as she does on the red carpet. Her ethereal look works in just the right way that is never forced.

I love Tilda's style because she is the embodiment of self-possession. She's a woman who knows who she is and exactly how she wishes to present herself. Her singular beauty alone would be enough to set her apart on the red carpet, but her true defining features are her fearlessness and her unwillingness to bend her own vision to the pressure of convention. She's a person who can show the world the pride that comes from wearing exactly what pleases her with supreme confidence.

In honor of her British heritage, a limerick:

Her kohl-less gaze is unnerving
And her knack for the odd is unswerving
She's frost and she's flame
And a real Anglo dame
Style icon? Yes, I'd say she's deserving.

Tilda Swinton is magnificence. She is not a traditional beauty but that is exactly what I love about her. She can fill a room with her presence. Her long lean, fashion forward choices create an unreal, untouchable persona. Case and point her photos in AnOther magazine.

Bravo! (And it stayed within the “50 words or less” boundary.) In turn, you've inspired me to pen a haiku:

A Celtic vision
The embodiment of chic:
Self-possessed and wry

Tilda Swinton. Beautiful, not Hollywood Pretty. Womanly, not girly. Actor, not actress. Style leader, not follower. Fearless, never bland.

to me, tilda conducts herself like a great piece of writing: so restrained, strong and controlled, like a well-edited book, and within those boundries of those pages so animated, pulsating and almost nerve-rackingly alive and real. anything avant-garde could have been termed after her. her screen persona wills herself into our DNA and that's rare.

i adore you both for this

As a fashion designer, I always think I would love to create something for Tilda Swinton. I appreciate her intrinsic sense of style, and admire her in many ways. She is elegant, talented and uniquely paradoxical. She has become a great inspiration, both personally and creatively.

One word: TILDA!!

Tilda makes you look. Then captures your senses with her talents.

Katherine Matilda Swinton, oh my Tilda. I saw her first when I was a wild teenage girlthing, and she became my goddess. The film was “Female Perversions” (1996), and even as a mostly grown-up twentysomething it still remains one of my favorites. Its namesake, a feminist text by Louise Kaplan, is quoted at the film's start:

“For a woman to explore and express the fullness of her sexuality, her ambitions, her emotional and intellectual capacities, her social duties, her tender virtues, would entail who knows what risks and who knows what truly revolutionary alteration to the social conditions that demean and constrain her. Or she may go on trying to fit herself into the order of the world and thereby consign herself forever to the bondage of some stereotype of normal femininity-a perversion, if you will.”

Tilda is perverse in all the right places. She is the essential female in that she defies stereotype with style, sexiness, sharpness of wit, and strength of will. It is this essence I imagine magically concentrated and contained in each bottle of Like This. Oh yes, m'Tilda, I like this. <3

Tilda is completely confident in her skin: whether reading Rilke on the Etat Libre website (promotion for this perfume) or in playing strange characters, she inhabits entirely a new persona again and again. When she dresses, she wears the clothing like an extension of herself, like a 2nd skin. She seems to be completely uninterested in societal norms or what others think. She's intelligent, perceptive and very well spoken and creates Style (capital S). She's fearless.

I would be her boytoy if I wont this perfume!!!

ah…pure love…to dress a pure soul

I admire Tilda’s style because she is comfortable enough in her own skin to push the limits of her very identity. She challenges herself and never lets herself be bound by mediocrity or other’s standards. Tilda is highly experimental and always evolving, yet she never loses her essence.

I would like to smell the scent of a human like that.

I admire Tilda's androgyny. She has been an inspiration to the house of viktor & rolf. She inspires me to play with gender roles in my wardrobe in a way that is smart and sharp.

As a pale redhead, it is lovely to have a role model who is stylish in her own skin.

Because of this:
“My boy, what do you know of changed times, you who were born in 1997 and asked if there were cars before then or only horses and carts. For whom predigital will come to mean prehistoric. For my generation on, even the aliens, I'll tell the audience in America it is hard to grasp that it is in fact scrupulously constructed fantasy that we have, each and every one of us on this planet, European, Asian, Sikh, Finn, Masai, Maori, male, female, neither, both, asked, at least once in our lives, a girl to the school prom, standing in the American high school corridor flanked by metal locker doors, that we have each and every one of us negotiated cheerleaders and their jock boyfriends, skirted a baseball diamond with a school jersey round our waist.”

Her style is in her styless-ness — her ability to make simplicity extraordinary, but never flippant. She is the gap between the glove and the sleeve from which the wrist winks archly — conspiratorially.

lol i was wondering why there were so many positive, amazing things being written about tilda, even haikus and such…but duh…i didn't see the competition part…
