Leon Verres, which pegs itself as “the world’s fastest growing luxury goods brand,” has created some scathing anti-Anna Wintour t-shirts. They say: “F*ck Vogue, F*ck Anna, F*ck You.”
Verres, the man, has some choice words for Wintour, which were included in a press release we received a few hours ago:
“Anna Wintour and her Vogue have been taken the fashionistas for fools for many years. She presents perfectly styled Hollywood stars in luxurious outfits and declares that to be the new trend. Besides that I do not know anyone with common sense who considers such extravagantly styled fashion-zombies attractive, with its costly produced pseudo trends the Vogue only attends on an elitist minority of the fashion world, which is out of touch with reality and dieing out. To sum it up. The American Vogue has become obsolete as style authority long ago!”
Woah.
Okay, we can’t say we disagree with everything Verres is saying, but really? Is it necessary to stage a war against Wintour? Regardless of what you think about Vogue, you’ve got to admit that the editor has done great things for American fashion, and the industry in general. To be sure, we much prefer Christopher Lee Sauvé‘s “Save Anna” tees.

Wowzers! Those are indeed some fighting words.
The guy is clearly fishing for publicity. And he'd be a little more credible if he could spell correctly.
He echoes the same sentiments as most people I know that are familiar with American Vogue, he's just coming from a place of anger. I agree with him completely, but that shirt is ugly.
Yeah, it's real ugly.
Much of what he says is true but he would gain a lot more credibility if he worked on his designs. Tacky to say the least.
America loves this guy. America is this guy.
PS: Leon Verres sold in the US 100,000 “3F” shirts in the last week….! Any more questions?
Went to the website…hit shit is UBER tacky. Not taking it seriously until he gets some good shit on there.
UGH.
But I do agree that Ms. Wintour has utterly and totally monopolized fashion. She must be stopped. I still love Mama Wintour tho…she is secretly very awesome!!!!
no way! i'm copyrighting “fuck gucci, fuck louis, fuck you” right now. how much do these retail for?
I sense a bit of spite in this statement. Maybe he hates Anna and Vogue because she once rejected his tacky, disgusting “luxury” designs? I mean, everything he makes…from shoes to furry champagne, screams trashy las vegas meets the jersey shore.
*sigh*
Woah is not a word. Whoa, however, is.
Spell checker, anyone? Anyone?
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=woah This isn’t the New Yorker, it’s a blog. Conversational spelling is accepted in our world.
Give me proof.
Christopher just moved into a new studio space on Bedford and 7th, please come to his next party.

Vive la Révolution!
Thanks for your courage to fight for the truth Mr. Verres. I know you will win the battle!
How about the fact that he mispelled “dying” in his press release? I bet Anna knows how to spell . . .
Seriously!? Vogue isn't just some “fashion” magazine is fashion with an artful interpretation, which fashion is at its core; art. Vogue is like The New Yorker for fashion lovers across the globe. Its meant to inform the reader of everything that is going on in the fashion world, not just to over saturate itself with trends and “what to wear”s. We have InStyle and Lucky for that. Some ones just tooting an old broken down already used horn into a new microphone. Boots to Verres.
I totally agree. I was just about to say that. Vogue isn't everyone's magazine which is why there are a variety of fashion magazines that cater to various niches and aspects of fashion. I, for one, never considered Vogue as trendy. Vogue is the most artful of fashion mags. I don't think the intention is to be exclusionary. It really falls upon the reader to make their own conclusions about trends and fashion and consult other sources.
Oh God! This guy is the most boring person on earth! Hating Anna Wintour is the most lame thing. To quote Sinead O'Connor, “Fight the real enemy!”
Four words: I LOVE THE SHIRT!
Four words: I LOVE LEON VERRES!
Four words: I HATE ANNA WINTOUR!
Four words: UNITED AGAINST ANNA WINTOUR!
No one should be subjected to hateful messages.
salute.
kudos for speaking out, and 100.000 shirts in a week? very smart. at some point, we have to admit that he is still using the power or anna wintour and vogue to sell clothes
eeewww!!!!! Very low rent! I can see that the “luxury” brands we are talking about here are aimed at: 1. the illiterate 2. the disgusting 3. reality TV “stars” or possibly all three. Personally I equate luxury with great beauty, craftsmanship and creativity. A cheap T-shirt emblazoned with hateful expletives is just trash. One thing is for sure, Ms Wintour would never, ever stoop to such behaviour, it is not in her universe. I don't support her in her wearing and champion of fur, for example, but you have to admire her quiet dignity when she is attacked (sometimes physically) by anti-fur activists. Attack her all you like, but she is the gold standard in fashion reporting, and this dreadful fellow is just a nasty and inadequate wannabe.
Indeed. Fashion politics at its best. Agreed the shirt is absolutely hideous. Check out these street fashion graphic tees. http://www.zazzle.com.au/vijakadesigns*
